Mission and objectives
The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme contributes to peace and development through volunteerism worldwide. We work with partners to integrate qualified, highly motivated and well supported UN Volunteers into development programming and promote the value and global recognition of volunteerism. UNV has five Regional Offices in Amman (Arab States, Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States), Bangkok (Asia and the Pacific), Dakar (West and Central Africa), Nairobi (East and Southern Africa) and Panama City (Latin America and the Caribbean). The regional offices are the first entry point for partners wishing to engage with UNV. They offer UNV services and solutions to government partners, UN entities, civil society and the private sector, and takes the lead in scoping and delivering UNV advisory services on volunteer infrastructure. They also provide oversight and strategic guidance to UNV's field units in the regions.
Context
The promotion of volunteerism in East and South of Africa is among UNV's main goals. Having eye-catching design and layout report helps us provide detailed support to the UN Partners to engage UN Volunteers. Note: Online Volunteers share their time and expertise on a voluntary basis and do not receive any financial compensation. Contributing to sustainable human development, developing knowledge and skills, expanding networks and working in a multicultural environment are some of the many benefits of online volunteering. Upon successful completion of the assignment, Online Volunteers will receive an electronic certificate of appreciation.
Task description
We are looking for two Online Volunteer/s who under the guidance of United Nations Volunteers East and South of Africa (UNV ESARO) communication team to support us by producing designs and layout for 1 report. The design/layout should follow UNV corporate design guidelines which will be shared with the Online Volunteers in advance. The Online Volunteers will have the opportunity to build connections within UNV and learn about the ways in which the translated product contributes to the integration of volunteers into the UN system and the overall promotion of volunteerism.
