Philanthropy and Trusts Team Coordinator

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: £25,393 - £26,663 with excellent benefits

Location: London, UK

Hybrid Working: A minimum of 40% of working time is spent face to face, either in London office, or as a result of external engagement or travel for WaterAid. WaterAid is located at Canary Wharf, London and this will be your location and contract base.

About the Team:
It's an exciting time to join WaterAid's Philanthropy and Trusts team which has been spotlighted for growth within the Fundraising Department. We're a creative and ambitious team of highly skilled fundraisers, working with both existing and new donors to make WaterAid's mission a reality.

About the Role:
As our proactive and organised Philanthropy and Trusts Team Coordinator you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our team's day-to-day activities as well as have the opportunity to develop your fundraising skills with your own portfolio of donors.

You'll:

  • Lead the team's administrative function to help us to keep running efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage the income and expenditure monitoring processes and play a significant role in the team's yearly business planning.
  • Oversee a portfolio of small trust and philanthropy donors
  • Support the development of proposals and reports on WaterAid's work
  • Support the team leader and senior managers with the Business Planning process, working closely with Finance team to ensure accurate data capture.
  • Support the P&T Team's database needs as necessary e.g. logging enquiries and income monitoring, ensuring compliance with GDPR and other data protection regulations
  • Manage the Philanthropy inbox, triaging donors to relevant members of both the Philanthropy and Trusts team, ensuring that all enquiries are dealt with promptly.
  • Provide administrative support to the events function within the Philanthropy and Trust team including but not exclusively, planning, logistics, venues, research, marketing, risk assessments, volunteer and director briefings and event delivery support.

About You:

  • Excellent organisation and time management skills

  • Experience working collaboratively and building effective working relationships
  • Experience of working collaboratively and building effective working relationships with colleagues and external suppliers, able to adapt approaches and influence others to get things done;
  • Experience of producing high-quality communications for team members with the ability to tailor for varied audiences;
  • Demonstrable accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Ability to organise and maintain information storage systems;
  • Experience of streamlining processes for business efficiency;
  • Excellent literacy, numeracy, internet knowledge and IT literacy in MS office suite (specifically MS Word, Excel, Outlook);
  • Experience of using a customer relationship management (CRM) system (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics) to manage donor and income information;
