Senior Digital Marketing Manager

Contract: 11 Months Fixed Term Contract, Full-time (Maternity cover until March 2025)

Salary: £45,579 depending on experience with excellent benefits

Location: London, UK

Hybrid Working: A minimum of 40% of working time is spent face to face, either in London office, or as a result of external engagement or travel for WaterAid. WaterAid is located at Canary Wharf, London and this will be your location and contract base.

About the Team:
This role sits within Supporter Activation, which is a part of the Mass Engagement Department within Communications and Fundraising. The Supporter Activation team is responsible for recruiting 23k regular givers to WaterAid every year, and over 30k new cash givers.

The key remit of the Activation Team is to seek out, test and continuously develop a wide portfolio of acquisition activities in line with our engagement strategy. This role is also responsible for guiding the prospecting (building brand understanding and consideration) and non-financial engagement aspects of the digital marketing strategy. ​​​​​​

About the Role:

The Senior Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational delivery of digital marketing programme to drive new supporters, and deliver ambitious acquisition and brand consideration targets.

The post-holder will work across the full digital marketing programme including paid search, programmatic display, social, e-commerce, SEO and a range of innovative channels and formats.

You'll also:

  • Manage two brilliant Senior Digital Marketing Officers and a budget of approximately £1.3m.
  • Set the paid digital marketing approach with our media agency and continuously evaluate and optimise it.
  • Play an active role in large, integrated marketing campaigns at key moments in the year.
  • Work across the department, collaborating with a number of teams on creative development and campaigns.

About You:

  • Strong experience planning and delivering digital marketing activities, including programmatic, paid search, video and social and working with media agencies.
  • Experience managing budgets at scale, including forecasting and reporting.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and a flair for collaborating with other teams.
  • Entrepreneurial-thinking and a focus on continuous improvement and delivering results.
  • An ability to work in a fast-paced environment and regularly meet required targets and deadlines.
