In this configuration, CBM Country Offices, and particularly the DRC Coordination office, implements a number of projects with various partners, in particular the Programme National de Lutte contre les Maladies Tropicales négligées (National Program for the Elimination of Neglected Tropical Diseases). As part of this program, we are looking for a NTD Programme Assistant.
The position is a Fulltime position.
The position is located in Kinshasa with frequent field visit to the health zones where the projects are implemented.
This position is only filled locally (in Democratic Republic of Congo), with contractual conditions of the Country. An expatriation is not intended.

These are your responsibilities
The NTD Programme Assistant will work under the supervision of the NTD Coordinator to support the planning, implementation and monitoring of CBM’s NTD portfolio in DRC.
Programme Support and reporting
The incumbent will be responsible for contributing to the successful and timely completion of all NTD programmes , through:

The incumbent will be responsible for contributing to the successful and timely completion of all NTD programmes , through:
- Supporting implementing partners to ensure timely receipt of annual project plans and budgets
- Reviewing plans and budgets and providing feedback to partners
- Participating in relevant meetings with partners to support all stages of implementation
- Monitoring/supervision of projects and activities in the field, troubleshooting where required
- Ensuring partners are aware of and following ICTC (International Coalition for Trachoma Control), WHO (World Health Organization) and other relevant international guidelines, as appropriate
- Overseeing accurate and timely reporting by partners;
- Support the collection, review and analysis of programme data for submission to CBM and donors.
- Providing clear and detailed information to support fundraising
- Supporting the supervision of the annual Mass Drug Administration programme;
- Contributing to the development of the DRC NTD team’s operational plans, quarterly and annual technical and financial reports;
- Support the design and implementation of NTD research in DRC, including preparing ToRs and supervising consultants.
- Develop good working relationships with counterparts in CBM’s DRC partner organisations
- Represent CBM and actively participate at government NTD meetings;
- Document the discussions and outcomes of internal and external meetings, and follow up to ensure agreed actions are implemented.

These are your qualifications
Essential Requirements
- A degree level qualification in Public Health, epidemiology or parasitology is preferable; a degree in social sciences or related field will be considered;
- Minimum of 3 years experience in an international NGO or Ministry of Health in a similar position, or experience of research in a relevant field;
- Have a strong practical knowledge of government strategies for tackling public health issues
- Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Packages (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access) Highly numerate with proven analytical skills;
- Excellent writing and presentation skills (French and English).
- Team player with good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate in a cross-cultural and multi-faceted environment
- Must be proactive, open to do things differently, to solve problems effectively and efficiently.
- English and French: professional proficiency
- Lingala & Swahili or any other local mother tongue are advantageous
- Demonstrate initiative, creativity, conscientiousness and organisation.
- Interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Be dynamic and able to work under pressure.
- Identification with Christian values and the mandate of the CBM.
