Intern Tajikistan*
in Dushanbe
You can start your internship at Welthungerhilfe Tajikistan as soon as possible. The internship can last from three to a maximum of six months. The duration and scope of the work depends on the respective study regulations and is therefore possible on a full-time or part-time basis. However, full-time employment is highly desirable. Employment location will be Dushanbe, Tajikistan. You will be required to cover the costs for your flights, health and accident insurance. Your monthly salary will be 400€.
Welthungerhilfe's country program in Tajikistan basically focuses on food & nutrition security, natural resource management, sustainable agriculture and rural energy. As an international intern, you will support the implementation of certain focus areas of the Tajikistan Country Strategy under the guidance of our senior program staff on the ground. This may include participating in field trips, supporting monitoring exercises and preparing relevant documents. We are looking for one intern to support activities to mark 30 years of Welthungerhilfe in Tajikistan and one intern to support the documentation of irrigation management practices in the Ishkashim district of the Pamirs.
Your responsibilities

Review existing project files to extract best practices

Support knowledge management activities

Write flyers and fact sheets to describe projects and key approaches/concepts

Join field monitoring missions of senior program staff

Your profile
- You are currently enrolled in a Master's program at university/college or you are close to finishing your Bachelor's degree
- Basic experience and interest in food and nutrition security, WASH
- Strong intercultural competences and willingness to work in a multinational team
- Readiness to receive necessary vaccinations for working in Welthungerhilfe's project countries
- Excellent spoken and written English; Russian and/or Tajik language skills are an asset
