Result of Service
The ATCC shall assist the National TNA Coordinator in ensuring that the following deliverables are submitted to UNEP-CCC: 1. A Technology Needs Assessment (TNA) report for mitigation and adaptation 2. A Barrier Analysis and Enabling Framework (BA&EF) report for mitigation and adaptation 3. A Technology Action Plan (TAP) report for mitigation and adaptation including project ideas for the implementation of the TAP in the format agreed for the project with UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre. UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre shall provide a template for the TAP report. 4. One technology policy brief for each technology taken to the TAP. 5. One project concept note (to be prepared by a contractor contracted specifically for the task). 6. A final activity report of the overall activities of the project, including: • information on national workshops and list of participants. • information documenting the process through which relevant stakeholders and funding community have been involved in the process. • Field trips and trips to attend training and capacity-building workshops will occur.

Duties and Responsibilities
The part-time Assistant TNA Coordinator Contractor (ATCC) is required for the duration of the project to execute and supervise the implementation of activities under the TNA project. The contractor will coordinate and facilitate the implementation of the project under the supervision of and reporting to the national TNA Coordinator.
Qualifications/special skills
- At least a postgraduate degree in science, engineering, economics or social science - A minimum of 3 years of work experience in the relevant sector or related fields. - Good coordination and facilitation skills, and possess proven analytical capabilities, as well as excellent writing skills. - Experience in an international agency or organization is desirable. Key Competencies: The consultant should be in possession of strong inter-personal and verbal communication skills, good coordination and facilitation skills, and possess proven analytical capabilities, as well as excellent writing skills. He/She should have good knowledge of - and experience with - climate change strategies, technologies and policies at the national level. More specifically the contractor should be familiar with national development objectives and sector policies, have overall insights in climate change science, and potential climate change impacts, as well as mitigation and adaptation need for the country.
Languages
Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
