Hours:                             20 hours per week (increased hours during conferences)

Location:                        Flexible/Remote, with some international travel required

Salary Range:                $25,000 - $37,500 USD

Task Overview

The ICPA Sponsorship and Funding Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial sustainability and growth of the organization by managing ICPA’s relationships with corporate members, securing sponsorships for conferences, and driving the diversification of funding streams for the Association. This is a senior leadership position, reporting to the Executive Director, ICPA. The role involves coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, fostering partnerships, and contributing to the success of ICPA's initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage ICPA’s funding strategy.
  • Manage and nurture relationships with ICPA's corporate members and sponsors, ensuring their engagement and satisfaction.
  • Lead the sponsorship and exhibition process for ICPA conferences, including prospecting, negotiations, contract management, and delivering value to sponsors.
  • Research, identify, and secure alternative funding sources to support ICPA's programs, projects, and operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance ICPA's visibility and attractiveness to potential sponsors and funders.
  • Collaborate with other members of the ICPA team through team meetings, including the Events and Project Officer and the Communications and Marketing Officer, to ensure the success of ICPA activities and the proper acknowledgment of sponsors and partners.
  • Provide regular reports on sponsorship and funding activities, including financial updates and projections, to the Executive Director and ICPA Board.
  • Monitory industry trends, and research, identify, and secure alternative funding sources to support ICPA's programs, projects, and operations.

Qualifications and Skills

 Qualifications:

  • Relevant ‘business-to-business’ qualifications in Business, Marketing, Communication, or a related field; or equivalent industry experience.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in sponsorship management, corporate partnerships, and/or fundraising within the non-profit sector.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management abilities, capable of coordinating multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to identify innovative ways to attract sponsors and secure funding.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and online collaboration tools.
  • Experience in conference management is highly desired.

Other: 

  • Fluency in written and verbal English is required. Knowledge of other languages is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with the corrections and prisons field, criminal justice, or related sectors is advantageous.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as collaboratively, within a remote working environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
