YOUR MISSION
The Head of Finance (all genders) is an important member of the organisation’s management team and is responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of the organisation, IT and Office Management, and ensuring the organisation’s financial health and sustainability. The Head of Finance (all genders) will lead the development and implementation of the organisation’s financial strategies and innovative financial approaches that support the organisation’s mission and goals, together with the rest of the management team.

Financial Management, Accounting and Controlling
- Develop and implement financial strategies that support the mission and goals of the organisation
- Manage and oversee all financial operations, including accounting, controlling, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and risk management, both in Germany and for Berghof’s activities in other countries
- Ensure smooth internal and external procedures, donor and regulatory requirements, including tax filings and audits
- Implementation and optimisation of scalable processes and structures according to international standards
- Use financial data to provide effective and concise financial direction & advice
- Contribute to the organizational growth and strategic development and ensure optimisation and digitalisation of financial processes, controls and reporting to meet the needs of the organization and its staff
- Manage key financial relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, service providers, partners and donors
IT and office management
- Ensure smooth internal IT operations
- Oversee staff, IT processes and new technological solutions as well as administration to run the office in a manner that best serves the organisation as a whole, as well as the teams and individuals that comprise it
