Overview

The Finance and Admin Officer will support Senior Program Manager in the implementation of Jhpiego finance activities for Momentum project, a USAID-funded maternal and newborn health (MNH) project in Indonesia. She/he will manage the implementation of finance and admin in provincial office and ensure that the financial systems are maintained in an accurate and timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Implement Jhpiego financial policies and procedures and adhere to USAID rules and regulations
  • Support Senior Program Manager in developing annual workplan budget and manage the implementation activity budget to be in line with the approved workplan
  • Review budget activity, project advances and reconciliation
  • Review travel authorization request and staff travel expense reports
  • Review vendor invoices
  • Initiate payment process and record it in the Quick Book
  • Input expenses into Quick Book and assist Finance Manager in Jakarta on closing monthly QB
  • Guide and orient program staff on the implementation of the activity that related to finance and admin procedures and regulation
  • Review and conduct spot-checks of financial documents from district
  • Review and conduct surprise check on the petty cash
  • Monitor completeness of procurement documents (purchase requests, purchase approvals, payments)
  • Coordinate with F&A Director and other finance and admin team in Jakarta office for the implementation of operational in provincial office

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Finance/Accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance and accounting
  • Experience with accounting for INGO or USAID-funded awards or contracts, specifically in project budget development and financial reporting
  • Understand of Indonesia Tax Regulations
  • Excellence in using accounting software, preferably QuickBooks
  • Fluency in written and oral English is strongly preferred
  • Diligent, honest, and mature worker, capable of managing workload under pressure
  • Able to work independently and under minimum supervision, and also as a member of the Finance and Administration team
  • Excellent analytical thinking
